I met my childhood friend Robin at a party a few weeks ago. We started to catch up and he told me that he climbed Mount Everest back in 2018, which was a really cold year on "The Eve". “Too cold for me” was his exact words.
Apparently, and foolishly, he wore his Acne jeans, Bruce Springsteen hoodie and his Nike sneakers. He mentioned something about a tent and canned food, but I received a messageso I zoomed out for a while and didn’t get all of the tent and canned food part.
Anyway, when I zoomed back in on the conversation, Robin was talking about the ascent. He told me that halfway up the mountain it started snowing, but at the same time it was so bright he had to wear his sunglasses. After that he was hit with a gust of wind, fell and broke his thumb, and had to abort his Everest mission.
Robin kept talking about the snow, wind and broken thumb for way too long, and again - I zoomed out. It was so boring. He went on and on, so I decided to simulate a phone call from an imaginary cousin and left.
